Sources
- Public profiles — handle, name, bio, category, follower and post counts, the platform's verified mark.
- Recent public posts — the last 30 posts or videos: likes, comments, views, captions, the accounts they tag, and whether a post is marked sponsored (#ad, paid partnership).
- Links creators publish — their websites and link-in-bio pages, which we use to match creators to brands ("orbit").
What we compute
- Niche — read from category and bio with fixed rules, not a model.
- Credibility (an estimate) — engagement and views compared with creators of the same platform and size, minus signs like engagement far above normal (possible engagement pods), following more accounts than follow you, or (Instagram) no posts in 90 days. It is labelled an estimate everywhere.
- Lookalikes — Instagram's related accounts, creators sponsored by the same brands, and same niche and size.
What we don't have
- Audience demographics — age, gender and location come only from a creator's connected account. We show "not measured" rather than guess.
- Creators under 100K followers in search — you can still find them in your orbit.
- Private accounts, under-18 accounts, adult-content sellers and organisations are excluded.
Freshness
The search index is rebuilt every night from our latest reads. Each profile shows when we last read it.
Contact details
We never show a creator's email or phone to brands. Emails and phone numbers are stripped from bios before they are shown.
Removal
Any creator can remove their profile in one step, with no reason needed. It disappears from search at once, and we keep only a one-way hash so it is never re-added. Read the privacy page for our legitimate-interest assessment.
